Who is Eligible for ARMHS?
To qualify for ARMHS in Minnesota, clients must meet the following requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
Mental Health Diagnosis

• Must have a primary diagnosis of a mental illness as determined by a licensed mental health professional. Examples include (but are not limited to):
• Schizophrenia spectrum disorders
• Bipolar disorder
• Major depressive disorder
• Anxiety disorders
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Personality disorders

Functional Impairment

• The mental health condition must impair the client’s ability to manage daily living activities such as:

• Maintaining housing stability
• Establishing and maintaining relationships
• Managing symptoms and emotional responses

Eligibility for Medical Assistance (MA)

• Clients must be enrolled in Minnesota Medical Assistance (MA) or a qualifying managed care plan.
