Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) Services
Certified Peer Specialist services provide nonclinical, recovery-focused activities that promote empowerment, self-determination, and decision-making. Delivered by peers with lived experience in mental health recovery, these services include:
- Supporting individuals in overcoming stigma and social isolation.
- Addressing personal loss, systemic power dynamics, and the challenges of life after hospitalization or acute care.
- Encouraging recovery by drawing from shared lived experiences to help individuals feel supported and understood.
CPS services are recovery-focused, helping clients set and pursue their own recovery goals, fostering a sense of hope and resilience.
